GRAFTON, Ohio (WOIO) - A man will spend more than a decade in prison for his role in using books, including Vice President JD Vance’s “Hillbilly Elegy,” to distribute controlled substances.

The book was one of three items whose pages 30-year-old Austin Siebert, of Maumee, has been convicted of spraying with narcotics and then shipping to Grafton Correctional Institution.
The items, disguised as Amazon orders, also included a 2019 GRE Handbook and a separate piece of paper, according to court documents.
Troopers were called to the Grafton Prison on Dec. 3, 2024 after packages with suspected narcotics were seized, according to a criminal complaint.
