Martin Lewis is alerting households to the cheapest energy tariffs after it was confirmed bills will be rising again from January.

Customers are being advised to consider fixing their bills as this often works out cheaper.

Average bills will be rising by £3 a year in a fresh cost-of-living blow to households.

Most households are on variable tariffs which rise and fall with the Energy Price Cap set by Ofgem every three months.

But many fixed tariffs work out cheaper.

Money expert Martin Lewis has now named the cheapest fixed tariffs currently on the market. These are:
