PLANS to build a restaurant, beach huts and a sauna on one of the most popular beaches in East Lothian have been revealed.
The restaurant planned for Longniddry Bents would offer views of the Edinburgh skyline and the Forth Bridges, and the applicants claim it would "unlock the great potential" of the well-visited seaside spot.
Currently, Alandas operates a mobile restaurant at Longniddry Bents No 3 and the firm would also run the proposed restaurant.
The plans, from Lord Wemyss Trust, would also feature 12 beach huts, with one housing a sauna.
A planning application has now been lodged with East Lothian Council, while early proposals were previously discussed by both Longniddry Community Council and Gullane Area Community Council.
