A MUCH-loved pizza shop has closed its doors suddenly after almost 40 years in business.
Residents have been left disappointed after Armando’s Pizza, a long-standing favourite in Giffnock , closed without warning.
The takeaway, based on Merryvale Place, first opened in 1989 and became a local staple thanks to its late-night hours and delicious food.
However, it mysteriously stopped serving several weeks ago.
Despite there being no formal announcement of the closure from bosses, Google has now updated Armando's status to "permanently closed."
The sudden disappearance of the pizza shop has led to disappointed locals speculating about the reason for its abrupt shutdown, which remains unclear.
One regular customer said on a Facebook post: "If you are for real, for real closed thank you
