DALHART, Texas (KFDA) - Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) officials say one person was injured after a crash south of Dalhart Wednesday morning.

Officials say the crash was between a passenger vehicle and a truck tractor towing a semi trailer.

DPS says the passenger car caught fire, but the driver got out of the vehicle prior to that happening.

The crash resulted in minor injuries.

Hartley County Texas Emergency Management was asking the public to avoid the area of Hwy 54 west of Dalhart, two and a half miles west of CSS Potato Farm.

According to DPS, the scene is now clear.
