BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana University Bloomington is lifting restrictions on fraternity activities beginning next month, after they were suspended following multiple hazing allegations .
A university spokesperson confirmed to 13News that fraternities "in good standing and not under investigation" were notified Nov. 20 that they can resume all activities, including social events, beginning Dec. 1, consistent with university policies.
Organizations on interim status, or those under an active investigation, will continue to have social restrictions, the spokesperson said.
All fraternities were informed that can participate in the housing exception process for the spring semester, and students looking to end a residence hall contract are still required to do so by Dec. 14.
