A 57-year-old Washington man was arrested and charged with selling fake inspection stickers, authorities in Warren County announced Tuesday, Nov. 25.

Thomas Luster was arrested following a four-month investigation into the sale and distribution of fraudulent New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission inspection stickers within Warren County, the Warren County Prosecutor's Office said.

Officers initiated the investigation after receiving information regarding counterfeit motor vehicle inspection stickers being offered for sale, authorities said. 

Luster is charged with four counts of forgery, utter a fraudulent document, four counts of criminal simulation and four counts of false government documents, for selling fraudulently numbered and bar coded NJ Motor Vehicle commission inspection stickers, authorities said.
