The Chancellor has ended the fuel duty freeze, which was initiated in 2011 and then reduced by an additional 5p, resulting in a rise in petrol and diesel prices for motorists across the UK . Rachel Reeves stated that fuel duty would remain frozen for a few more months before gradually increasing.
