Will Campbell’s knee injury isn’t believed to be season-ending, but a prominent insider says the rookie tackle is still expected to land on injured reserve.

According to The Athletic’s Diana Russini, the Patriots believe Campbell will miss “at least four weeks.” That would sideline the rookie for important games against the Bills and Ravens, as well as Monday’s matchup with a strong Giants pass rush.

However, the insider didn’t have all bad news for New England in her latest update.

“Patriots rookie left tackle Will Campbell is expected to miss at least four weeks with a knee injury and will most likely land on injured reserve,” Russini writes. “But rookie left guard Jared Wilson (ankle) has received better news and could be back much sooner.”
