A 12-year-old boy was left injured after being attacked by a random man with a 'metal item' in Trafford .
Greater Manchester Police have revealed more details about the incident today (November 26), as 21-year-old man was arrested.
Here's all you need to know:
The boy, 12, was walking with friend on Stockport Road in Timperley at around 6.30pm on Friday, November 21. A vehicle approached them from the direction of Shaftesbury Avenue.
The car pulled up next to the group and stopped alongside them, before the driver got out. The man appeared to have a metal item in his hand, police said.
The boy and his friends ran off, but the suspect chased them and attacked the boy with the 'metal item'. The boy was left with injuries to his back, hip and left leg.
