Two El Paso men were arrested after allegedly abducting women in separate, unrelated kidnappings in the far East Side and Montana Vista, officials said.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office arrested Sergio Omar Ramos, 22, who is accused of assaulting a woman he knew and forcing her into a vehicle in the early morning of Monday, Nov. 24, in Montana Vista, stated a news release by sheriff's spokeswoman Priscilla I. Contreras.

A witness helped get the woman to safety and called 911 after allegedly seeing Ramos forcing the woman toward a vehicle about 3:15 a.m. Monday in the 3700 block of John Henry Street, the Sheriff's Office reported.

Deputies responded to an assault call and spoke with the woman who had been assaulted, officials said. She was transported to a hospital for a medical evalu
