A woman was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly hitting her mother with her own car in a domestic violence incident at a gas station in Tamiami, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office.

According to an arrest report, the suspect is 25-year-old Taylia Valladares.

Authorities said Valladares and her mother got into a verbal argument on Nov. 21 because Valladares wanted her mother to "drive her to an unknown address somewhere in the 'Northwest' area."

Her mother told police that she refused, and instead drove to a Shell gas station on Southwest 8th Street and Southwest 132nd Avenue to de-escalate the situation.

Valladares' mother got out of her car, but "remembered that she left the car on and the keys in the ignition" and returned to the vehicle, the arrest report describes.
