KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Kareem Hunt’s first 100-yard rushing performance of the 2025 season had quarterback Patrick Mahomes describing the 30-year-old running back as a “warrior” after Sunday’s win over the Colts.
On Wednesday, it resulted in Hunt earning AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Hunt carried the ball 30 times for 104 yards on the ground, including Kansas City’s lone touchdown score in a 23-20 overtime win against Indianapolis. He also had 3 receptions for 26 yards.
Hunt won the award for the first time since Week 9 of the 2018 season, two weeks prior to his initial release from Kansas City. The 100-yard rushing performance was his third such game since rejoining the Chiefs last year.
