The Ohio Department of Transportation District 4's annual Paint-the-Plow competition this year features snowmen, an eagle, cardinals, leopards and handprints — among other artistic designs.
Northeast Ohio school districts create artwork on snowplows each year for ODOT, with the state agency asking the public to vote for their favorite.
Voting is now underway online at www.facebook.com/ODOTD4 .
Competitors decorated snowplows with winter scenes, mascots and holiday references. Many also include road-friendly slogans, like "Stop watching reels. Keep your hands on the wheel," or "Don't crowd the plow."
There's also a "Tiger Pride. Worldwide."
This year, schools from Ashtabula, Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit, and Trumbull counties are participating, including: Austintown Fitch, Boar
