HASTINGS, Neb. — Nearly 90 million people will hit the roadways this week, according to AAA, with most travelers choosing to drive for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Luke Ledwell is traveling from Massachusetts to Wyoming and passing through the Tri-State area for the Thanksgiving travel season. Several other travelers are also making their way through the region, including Tiffany Lau of Gretna, Nebraska, and a traveler from Miami who wanted to see cold weather before conditions worsened.
Mike Moritz, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Hastings, said the region has entered a colder pattern for the holiday weekend. Conditions are not only cool and windy, but they could get worse by the weekend.
