GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Grand Island chiropractic business has donated money to Texas flood relief efforts after recovering from its own flood damage earlier this year.
Active Family Chiropractic experienced flood damage to its Diers Avenue location in June. A few weeks after their recovery, heavy rain from a tropical storm destroyed parts of central Texas, killing several people and leaving thousands homeless.
Dr. Scott Rief, a chiropractor at the business, said seeing the Texas destruction while remembering its own recovery motivated him to help.
“Once we experienced that, and then we saw on TV, about a month later, Texas was experiencing something even worse than what we were experiencing,” Rief said. “It really made us feel grateful for our situation, but also really sad and w
