DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — The owner of a well-known Tucker hair salon has been arrested and is now facing both criminal charges and a sweeping civil lawsuit alleging years of sexual harassment and assault inside his business.
At this time, it is not yet clear whether the lawsuit is connected to the criminal charges. Prosecutors have not said the two cases are related, and 11Alive is still working to determine if there is any link.
The DeKalb County Solicitor-General’s Office confirmed it has received a criminal case involving John Siggers, the owner of Siggers Hairdressers in Tucker.
Siggers was arrested Nov. 21 and charged with two counts of sexual battery, both misdemeanors under Georgia law. He was booked into the DeKalb County Jail and released the same day.
