EDGEFIELD, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A North Augusta woman who was reported missing for months and later arrested, has been indicted in the crash that occurred moments before her disappearance.
Susan Rhodes was indicted on a hit and run charge, duties of driver involved in accident, damage to vehicle only on Nov. 20, according to court documents.
The indictment list the offense as a class C misdemeanor charge.
Rhodes was originally arrested and booked into Edgefield County jail on Aug. 11 after being missing for 2 months.
Her disappearance began on June 11 around 2 p.m., moments after a car crash on Gregory Lake Road.
A witness says Rhodes’ vehicle ended up in a ditch – and she was seen getting out, looking disoriented and wandering into the woods.
