HOLYOKE ― Downtown Holyoke will become a holiday shopping hub on Saturday, with hot cocoa ready to warm up visitors as they explore local stores.
The ARTery will participate in Small Business Saturday , offering free parking, holiday decorations, and a marketplace with local artists and makers.
Organizers said the event is part of a broader push to make High Street a cultural and economic hub, led by the nonprofit group behind Holyoke Art Inc.’s marketplace, The ARTery, which has been expanding art spaces, workshops and cultural programs across the city.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the marketplace at 289 High St. takes center stage, bringing together over 150 local artists and makers with creations ranging from fine art and jewelry to clothing, prints and one-of-a-kind gifts.
