CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -The West Side Market is in the early stages of a three year, $68 million dollar renovation project.
Phase I of the renovations is underway and is focusing on half of the arcade where vendors sell fruits and veggies.
In a video posted to the Mayor Justin Bibb’s social media pages, Bibb took a tour of that portion of the arcade that should be completed in early 2026.
The construction manager points out the new floor that will have radiant heat making it more comfortable for both vendors and customers.
In the video you can also see they are already beginning to paint the newly renovated areas.
In the second half of the video Bibb and the crew are in the basement of the market which will be the next to undergo a major overhaul.
