DULUTH — For Minnesota Duluth hockey coaches Scott Sandelin and Laura Schuler, it doesn’t matter their teams are in the heart of their conference schedule, in pursuit of a NCHC and WCHA titles.
It doesn’t matter that every single game could impact both program’s positioning for the NCAA tournament in March.
Recruiting in college hockey never takes a break, which is why Sandelin and Schuler signed a total of 14 players — six for the UMD men and eight for the Bulldogs women — this month for the 2025-26 season.
Sandelin is bringing in three Minnesotans from the Twin Ports area, a Texan, a Canadian and a Swede. Schuler has a trio of Minnesotans from the Twin Cities — including twin sisters — two Canadians, two Finns and a Swede.
