MANCHESTER, Conn. (WFSB) - The 89th annual Manchester Road Race steps off at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Organizers said 12,116 runners registered for the 88th edition of last year’s Thanksgiving Day run, the largest number of runners to sign up for the 4.737-mile road race since 2018.

There’s a few things you need to know if you’re driving in the area.

Main Street will close between Bissell and Maple Streets at 5 a.m. so crews can put up barriers.

Main Street will fully close between Center and Charter Oak Streets at 5:30 a.m.

The entire race route along with Exits 4 and 5 off I-384 will close at 9 a.m.

No parking on the race route.

If your car is parked on the route, you won’t be able to get it out until the race over.
