MANCHESTER, N.H. —
Portsmouth Mayor Deaglan McEachern, who recently secured his third term, is contemplating a run for governor of New Hampshire, focusing on affordability and local issues.
McEachern visited WMUR to discuss his agenda for the upcoming two years, emphasizing the importance of housing and making the most of existing resources.
"It's going to continue to be about affordability — and so that's both housing, we've got to make sure that we're building enough housing; we have, we're building faster and more housing than anywhere else in the state. But it also comes down to how are we making do with what we have," McEachern said.
After a congressional campaign in 2018, McEachern has concentrated on serving Portsmouth, dismissing statewide ambitions until now.
