All six celebrities taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special have now been named. Brian McFadden, who was in Irish boy band Westlife, will complete the festive-line up for the BBC show.

Mirror Online reports how he was formally announced as the sixth contestant during Strictly spin-off It Takes Two on Wednesday night. Host Janette Manrara told viewers: "Who is the sixth and final celebrity? It's Brian McFadden! What a line-up!"

Brian, 45, will be dancing with pro Michelle Tsiakkas. Asked how he felt about taking part, the singer said: "I'm very excited. But I'm getting a bit older and I'm not as fit as I used to be, but Michelle is an incredible teacher - she's brilliant.
