WACO, Texas — Thanksgiving is a time for food and community, and this year, volunteers in Waco came together to include local shelter pets in the festivities as well.
Thanks to "generous donations" and the hard work of staff members and volunteers, the City of Waco said 154 animals at the Pet Circle Regional Animal Center, as well as community cats, received their own Thanksgiving feasts on Nov. 25.
The City shared video of the staff and volunteers putting together bowls filled with meat, carrots, corn, mashed potatoes and other favorites for the animals before making their way through the shelter to serve up the feasts to the excited pets inside.
The shelter is also offering a special deal this holiday season, with all adoptions being just $5 for Black Friday. Foster opportunities are
