WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WSMV) - Wilson County deputies apprehended a suspect after an hours-long standoff prompted traffic interruptions and a heavy police presence.
A spokesperson for the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed just after 5:45 p.m. that law enforcement had the suspect at the center of that presence in custody. News of his apprehension came more than two hours after dispatch first received word of a stabbing along the 1400 block of Sparta Pike.
“At approximately 3:09 p.m., 911 received a call from a male subject stating he had been stabbed in the neck and that the suspect had retreated back inside the residence,” the spokesperson said.
Sparta Pike was shut down and Lebanon Police helped direct traffic during the law enforcement response. The Wilson County Sheriff’s Offic
