NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Nashville-based subcontractor has stopped working on The Boring Company’s Music City Loop project, citing late payments and safety concerns.
William Shane, part owner of Shane Trucking and Excavating, said they were contracted to complete work on the Rosa Parks Boulevard site before tunneling started. Shane confirmed Wednesday the organization is no longer working with the Boring Company, saying some of their payments are 123 days late.
After publicly raising the concerns this week, Shane said he heard back from the Boring Company, which said they should be paid by the end of Wednesday. WSMV4 is working to learn if that payment happened.
Shane said the lack of a safety director on site was concerning and another factor in their exit from the project. The Bori
