Will Syracuse play in the Players Era Festival next season?

Las Vegas - Some of the Players Era Festival field has been announced for 2025-26.

Syracuse is not one of those publicly mentioned teams.

But SU’s deputy athletics director Torrey Ball said Wednesday that he is in “conversations” with tournament officials about the Orange’s participation next year.

The PEF will expand from 18 teams this year to 32 next year. The tournament has locked in a deal with the Big 12 to provide eight teams annually. A tournament organizer told the New York Times 26 of the 32 teams have been signed for next season, with Florida, Louisville and Virginia some of the new additions.

SU coach Adrian Autry said he wasn’t clear on negotiations for next season. But despite his team’s 0-3 showing, he likes what the PEF offers.
