GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Grand Island Public Library announces an upgrade to its NewsBank subscription, now providing patrons free access to current, full-color digital editions of The Grand Island Independent.

Beginning with the Saturday, January 11, 2025 edition, library cardholders can read issues up to and including the day’s publication through the library’s digital platform. This enhancement allows residents to access local news coverage anytime and anywhere with an internet connection.
