JANESVILLE, Wis. -- More than 600 Alliant Energy customers in Janesville were without power Wednesday evening.
According to the utility provider's outage map, 612 people in the Janesville area were without service. The outage began at around 6 p.m. and it's unclear when service will be restored.
The outage comes in the midst of widespread snowfall across southern Wisconsin, and high winds pushing temperatures below freezing.
Alliant also reported over 200 customers without service outside Lake Delton and over 1,200 customers in Kenosha County were without service Wednesday evening.
