HONOLULU (Island News) – The man involved in a shooting in Kalihi has been charged, according to the Honolulu Police Department (HPD).

Police confirmed on Wednesday, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the suspect, 22-year-old Tanumafili Fotu, was charged with Attempted Murder, Place to Keep Firearm, and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Separate Felony.

Fotu’s bail was set at $1,000,000.

The initial incident took place on Sunday, November 23, at approximately 9:44 p.m. at 555 N. King St. in Kalihi. He was arrested the next day on Monday.

As a result of the incident, a 39-year-old man was taken in critical condition. No updated information has been released at this time regarding the victim’s current condition.
