LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Emplify Health by Gundersen is nearing a significant milestone with its new Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment, and Healing (EmPATH) unit.

The organization announced Tuesday that they are just $250,000 away from opening the state's first EmPATH facility.

Emplify held a press conference to share this update, highlighting the crucial role of community support in reaching this point.

"The partnership of our community to back this important vision to bring it to a reality," said Mandy Richardson, Director of Philanthropy at Emplify Health. "If it were not for the community stepping forward and saying, 'yes, we support you and support you in a big way,' EMPATH would not be a possibility."
