CLEVELAND, Ohio — In the world of college football rivalries, perhaps none burns with the same intensity as “The Game” between Ohio State and Michigan.

While most programs might amp up the preparation during rivalry week, former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer turned the matchup into a 365-day psychological operation that permeated every aspect of the Buckeyes’ program.

“I grew up in the 10-year war. I lived this rivalry even when I wasn’t coaching it,” Meyer revealed on the latest episode of Todd McShay Show. “Did I take it to the extreme? I probably did. But there was a guy that coached for 28 years named Woody Hayes that took it pretty serious.”
