NORFOLK, Va. — A Norfolk Circuit Court Judge found a local man guilty of felony vandalism and burglary as well as misdemeanor larceny after he broke into a downtown restaurant last summer.
Larry Antonio Sutton Jr., 44, was convicted at trial in October.
Around 10 a.m. on July 13, 2024, Sutton broke into a restaurant on Granby Street, according to a press release from the Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
The restaurant was closed when Sutton rode his bicycle to an alley next to the restaurant, climbed up the side of the building to a second-story patio, and broke into a glass door upstairs, the press release said.
Once inside, Sutton checked the cash register and used a fire extinguisher to attempt to break into the manager’s office. Once a cleaning crew arrived and saw Sutton,
