Drivers on the Atlantic City Expressway will see two increases in 2026, one that will raise tolls by 3% for all drivers and a new fee for those who don’t use E-ZPass to pay tolls.
They’ll also see the first cashless electronic toll collection system on a state toll road when it becomes operational in January. The system could be replicated on the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway.
The 3% toll increases and establishing a separate toll by license plate fee was approved by the South Jersey Transportation Authority Wednesday. The Board of Commissioners also approved the $118 million 2026 operating budget and a $42 million capital projects budget.
