CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Clarksville boutique owner is working to repair her store after a hit-and-run driver crashed into the building, leaving significant damage just days before the year’s biggest shopping weekend.

Heather Christie opened The Christie Boutique on Fort Campbell Boulevard in 2020, just after the pandemic hit. She runs the business with her mother.

“My mom and I have always been in some type of sales or business. And we just kind of discussed it, you know, ‘Hey, if I come home for good to teach local then I said we should do a boutique,’” Christie said.

The hit-and-run left a hole in the store, damaging Christie’s bathroom and side wall, which is now being repaired.
