FORT DODGE, Iowa —

Ellen Tasler narrowly escaped disaster when bricks fell from a building in Fort Dodge, Iowa, just moments after she drove by on Saturday afternoon.

Tasler was driving home after visiting the doctor and checking in at work when the bricks came crashing down. Video footage from Remax of Fort Dodge shows just how close the call was.

"I was just driving down the street, and all of a sudden I just kind of hear a noise, and I look in my mirror, and the building's coming down onto the street," Tasler said.

Though shaken by the experience, Tasler was relieved that no one was driving behind her.

"I'm glad I made it through, and I'm glad nobody was behind me, because if somebody else had been behind me in a vehicle, they would have gotten the worst of it," she said.
