Locally owned businesses in Central Iowa are encouraging residents to shop on Small Business Saturday.

Canoyer Garden Center in Grimes is offering a variety of products and handmade gifts from small business vendors across Iowa. You can find different and unique items at Canoyer's boutique gift shop that you won't see online or at a big box store.

Plus, you're not just supporting the business; you're also supporting several other family-owned operations.

"We all live in this community and, you know, the money continues to multiply every time you spend local and supports everyone in our community. So, we just like to build up from within," said Kyle Canoyer, owner and general manager of Canoyer Garden Center.
