In a Saturday letter to the editor, Dusty Mac made a few good points about Clark County extending the fuel tax. However, he incorrectly attributed the famous TV quote, “Surprise, surprise, surprise” to Barney Fife. It was, in fact, the late great Las Vegas headliner Jim Nabors, aka Gomer Pyle, who uttered those immortal words.

“The Andy Griffith Show” is replayed daily and truly represents classic American television.
