Two people have been taken to hospital after emergency workers cut a person free from a car following a crash in Aintree. Emergency services descended on Ormskirk Road in Aintree at around 8.45pm on Wednesday, November 26, following reports of a two-car collision.
Pictures of the scene show a huge emergency service response , with around six police vehicles, two ambulances, a paramedic car and two fire engines in attendance. Emergency teams worked to help those involved and a man in his 60s was taken to hospital with "serious" injuries. A woman in her 20s was also taken to hospital after suffering a slight injury.
Merseyside Police confirmed the crash involved a silver Citroen and a silver Honda Civic at around 8.45pm
