PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A woman was shot Wednesday evening during a dispute between two families who live next to each other, according to Philadelphia police.
Officers conducted the investigation in the pouring rain along Ogontz Avenue, near 69th Avenue, in the city's West Oak Lane section.
Police said the shooting happened at around 5 p.m. after an ongoing argument between two families who are neighbors that live in homes that are attached.
Investigators said the family of the 28-year-old victim was about to take her to the hospital in a private vehicle when police arrived but officers told them to put her in the patrol car so police could rush her to Einstein Medical.
Her life likely depended on how quickly police could get her there.
