A man was killed after crashing into a utility pole in Bristol on Wednesday night, police said.
Officers responded to the area of Broad Street at Todd Street just before 9 p.m. for a one-vehicle crash into a utility pole, according to the Bristol Police Department .
Officers located an unresponsive male driver in the vehicle, police said. Officers performed life-saving measure until EMS personnel arrived at the scene. The man, identified as 31-year-old Jonathan Edward Whittle of Bristol, was transported by EMS to Bristol Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The Bristol Police Department’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to conduct the ongoing investigation.
