Man shot multiple times by seemingly random gunfire in Antioch, police say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after being hit by gunfire from outside his home in Antioch late Wednesday night.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, officers responded to a home in the 500 block of Owendale Drive just before midnight.

They arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm and leg. He was transported to the hospital in serious condition, but is expected to recover.

The investigation into what occurred shows that the man was sitting inside his home when he was hit by gunfire from the street outside. Several bullet casings were found on the street.

Detectives believe that the shots were not intended for the man inside the home, but rather, he was struck by what appears to be random gunfire.
