A 20-year-old Shakopee man has been charged in connection with a rear-end crash that killed a 46-year-old Chaska woman on Highway 169.
Kala Karlene Henry died after her Chevrolet Cobalt was rammed from behind in Jackson Township around 11:40 p.m. Sunday by a GMC Acadia traveling at a "high rate of speed," according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The GMC hit the rear driver's side of Henry's Chevrolet and pushed it into the right ditch, where it hit a culvert and rolled over," reads an incident brief.
Goay Gatluak Jikany, the GMC's driver, was charged with criminal vehicular homicide on Monday.
A criminal complaint says Jikany initially tried to blame the crash on Henry, who he claimed was "driving like crazy" and crashed into him, though it was clear he hit her.
