A beloved pop star has tragically died from sudden cardiac arrest at just 40 years old. ‌

Singer Shpat Kasapi is understood to have suffered a fatal heart attack in Monza, Italy, and died in the arms of his wife Selvije Jao. ‌

The pair are believed to have been in Italy seeking medical treatment for their young son. ‌

Kasapi, an Albanian vocalist with numerous chart successes, had no known health issues making his death yesterday all the more shocking for relatives and friends, reports the Mirror .

In a devastating Instagram post, Selvije penned a message to her late husband, saying: "You left us here alone, without you."

Beside a poignant photograph of Kasapi appearing content and relaxed whilst holding their son, she wrote: "You died in my arms
