As they struggled to come to terms with their their shock and grief loved ones of murdered Paul Gilbert were dealt a new distressing blow by the Jeremy Kyle show. The controversial daytime talk show was axed in 2019 following the suicide of Steve Dymond who took his own life days after appearing on the show.
Three years later a documentary series explored allegations that guests were exploited and antagonised before going on air by programme-makers for the sake of entertainment.
And in the aftermath of Paul's stab death, his family also had first hand experience of the misery caused by the show.
