Arne Slot has vowed to "fight on" as Liverpool manager amid his toughest spell in charge. The 4-1 defeat by PSV Eindhoven at Anfield in the Champions League on Wednesday night came on the back of a 3-0 loss against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League and leaves the Dutchman under the pump.

Pressure has been piling onto Slot , whose side have now lost nine of their last 12 games in all competitions. Defeat by PSV meant three successive losses by a three-goal margin.

Liverpool are 12th in the Premier League on 18 points after 12 matches. They have lost six of their last seven matches in the competition ahead of the trip to West Ham on Sunday.
