Scotland’s top cop has vowed to investigate unsolved historic " grooming gang " cases dating back more than ten years and to bring those responsible to justice. Jo Farrell, Police Scotland's Chief Constable today outlined the force's plans to protect children from sexual exploitation and abuse at a public meeting in Edinburgh and revealed a 20 percent increase in online child sex abuse in the past 12 months.
She told oversight body The Scottish Police Authority of her commitment to tackling that and physical child abuse by grooming gangs.
