The Ste. Anne Police Chief is advising residents that they may see members of the RCMP SWAT team in the community today.

Marc Robichaud says the RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT) will likely be in town today for some training in an abandoned home.

"There could be some strange-looking guys running around downtown for a little bit," says Robichaud. "It's a good opportunity for them to come out and do some training."

Robichaud says in all likelihood the officers will arrive in unmarked vehicles. However, he notes there could also be some armoured vehicles involved.

As for the officers, Robichaud says they will look like what you would expect a SWAT team member to look like.

"If you watch any of those TV shows or anything like that, that's what those guys are going to look like," he says
