INDIANAPOLIS — U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson spoke with Indiana House Republicans Saturday via conference call as the House prepares to meet next week on redistricting .
Multiple sources confirmed the development, first reported by POLITICO , to 13News statehouse reporter Emily Longnecker.
Sources told 13News the conference call lasted about 30 minutes and featured Johnson talking to Indiana House Republicans about redistricting and how critical it is for Republicans to retain control of the House of Representatives in the 2026 midterms.
It was announced Nov. 25 that the Indiana House will meet Monday, Dec. 1 to debate redrawing Indiana's congressional districts.
